Spiralling?spiralling.

In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night…You – only you – will have stars that can laugh.
It was a beautiful thing to be sure; to feel the wind and see the sky through the trees; to sit beneath the canopy of stars with a hot cup of tea and read stories in the moonlight; or perhaps to go for a stroll along the path to find some beautiful flowers growing on the verge of a cliff overlooking the sea.
And there would be those who felt the same thing – perhaps not quite the same way he did…But certainly the feeling was there. As was the need for the adventure and excitement that comes from being free. But more than anything, she loved to watch from above while her father worked in the fields; the work itself didn’t really interest her much, nor the fact that people could do what they liked on the planet they call Earth. But watching and admiring the beauty of the world below had its own charms. A few days after their arrival, her mother had taken her up into the sky again with him and shown her the stars she’d never seen before. It seemed like nothing else could compare! She’d been very proud of herself when she’d told her mother that she’d learned how to fly just yesterday, and she was certain that this experience would make her an excellent pilot someday.
But for now all that mattered was being happy.
She smiled as she looked back towards the house where the rest of the family was having dinner together, all laughing and chatting together. For a moment she wished that her life could be as normal, but then she remembered why she couldn’t – she wasn’t human anymore! She’d become a robot and her parents weren’t going to want anything to do with her now that she was different. And even though she knew they wouldn’t, she still missed the way things used to be. She missed having someone to talk to, to play with and share everything with.
